AMC Visionaries: Eli Roth’s History of Horror Premieres: October 14th, 2018
The seven-part series, executive produced by award-winning horror film director, writer, producer and actor, Eli Roth (“Cabin Fever,” “Hostel”) brings together the masters of horror – the storytellers and stars who define the genre – to explore its biggest themes and reveal the inspirations and struggles behind its past and present.
Each one-hour episode will take viewers on a chilling exploration of how horror has evolved through the years and examine the genre’s impact on society as well as delving into how horror maintains its fan base and why audiences are addicted to fear. Special guest stars include Alex Winter, Andrew Douglas, Bryan Fuller, Catherine Hardwicke, Elijah Wood, Greg Nicotero, Jack Black, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jordan Peele, Quentin Tarantino, Robert Englund, Sean S. Cunningham, Skeet Ulrich, Slash, Norman Reedus and more.
“AMC Visionaries” is a year-round documentary series in which groundbreaking artists curate and author the untold stories and fascinating histories of their respective genres. Other series featured under the AMC Visionaries banner include, “AMC Visionaries: Robert Kirkman’s Secret History of Comics,” and the recently aired, “AMC Visionaries: James Cameron’s Story of Science Fiction.”
