“As part of the ongoing Beyond Fest, on Sunday night “2001: A Space Odyssey” will show at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood with actors Keir Dullea and Gary Lockwood in attendance.
And while that is cause enough for excitement among movie fans, it is possible the real star of the evening could be the physical print of the movie itself. Beyond Fest is proud to announce two incredible films which will be closing out its 2016 slate.
First, we’re literally over the moon about unveiling sci-fi masterpiece ARRIVAL as this year’s closing night film! Denis Villeneuve’s latest and greatest brought down the house in Austin last week and we’re thrilled to be bringing the West Coast premiere of this film to you, LA.
Due to overwhelming demand, TIFF Midnight Madness breakout smash THE AUTOPSY OF JANE DOE moves from the Shudder Theatre to the big room for a special free screening this Friday, October 7th at 10:30pm, at the Egyptian Theatre during Beyond Fest.
Visionary André Øvredal’s long awaited follow-up to cult classic TROLL HUNTER cuts to the bone as father-and-son coroners (Brian Cox & Emile Hirsch) unravel a horrific mystery wrapped in a terrifying riddle when the body of a murdered young woman arrives for a late-night examination.
Beyond Fest is incredibly honored and proud to announce that the one and only Nicolas Cage will be joining Paul Schrader in person at our Friday (9/30) screening of DOG EAT DOG at the Egyptian Theatre!
If that’s not enough, we’re equally thrilled to announce the triumphant return of the inimitable Bruce Campbell, who will join us for a special preview of ASH VS EVIL DEAD’s Season 2 premiere on October 2nd at 7:30pm, directly preceding THE BEYOND: COMPOSER’S CUT with Fabio Frizzi!
